Great Stirrup Cay...

Our weeks go by much quicker now that Saturday is our "turn around" day.

Our Saturdays in Miami are nice and relaxed and they seem to go by rather quickly.

Sundays are filled with football games(When they remember to broadcast them on the ship).

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday we are in port and those always go by fast.

Thursday is a sea, but we're coming off having two shows on Wednesday night and have a show on Thursday evening so Tursdays goes by super fast.

Friday is a port day again and then before you know it we're back in Miami.

We don't always get off the ship on Fridays, but we did this week. Great Stirrup Cay is the private island in the Bahama's that Norwegian Cruise Lines owns.
It has a nice beach and is a good place to go snorkeling.
This is actually one of the smaller beaches on the island. Jeannie and I go here some times because it's quieter and separated from the large beach where most of the passengers go. (i.e. less loud mothers shouting at their kids, less fathers fighting with their wives, less drunken and rowdy behavior.)

I snorkeled for a couple hours on my own while Jeannie read her new book on the beach. I didn't see much new, but I swam next to two fish that were absolutely HUGE. By huge, I mean they were each about 4 1/2 feet long.

I swam out pretty far and at one point got a little lost. I could see land, but it wasn't any kind of land that looked familiar. At one point I thought I had swam to the neighboring island.
Turns out that I was still next to NCL's island, I had just swam around a cove that was blocking my view of the beach and the ship.

When we got back to the ship we watched movies on the crew channel. They're showing Christmas movies on two of the channels so we watched "Christmas With the Kranks" and "Home Alone".

Man, I forgot how funny "Home Alone" is. That McCauly Caulkin was a good little actor.
