Dune Buggy...

On Wednesday, Jeannie, Bud, Brett, Megan and I went cave tubing in Belize.

It was a lot of fun.  The caves were beautiful and the water was peaceful and serene.  Very cool and fun.

On Friday in Cozumel, Jeannie's dad and brother joined Brett and I on a Dune Buggy tour across the island.

We started out by snorkeling in the warm water.

We then drove to Punta Sur.

We climbed up a lighthouse...

Saw a small Mayan home...

and visited a crocodile sanctuary.

We sped along in our cool dune buggy and stopped at all kinds of attractions.

We also had a great tour at a tequila farm.

It was one of the most fun days of the contract.

Just four dudes driving along on a dune buggy.

Christmas on a ship...

Another Christmas on a cruise ship. This one was better than most because Jeannie's parents and brother are on the ship this week.

It's also great because we have such a great cast and are close friends with them.

Here are a few funny things from the ship this week.

I caught Santa playing the Key Master game in the casino.

Here are some of our decorations in our window in our room.

There are gingerbread houses all around the ship. Well, plump middle aged women have been breaking off chunks of the houses and trying to eat them.

They've destroyed all of them! The joke's on them. Those gingerbread houses are shellacked. You can't eat anything with shellac on it.

Jeannie got me great gifts. Here are some of the fun smaller things she got me.

It's emergency PB&J in a can! I can't tell you how often I need that!
Also, I can never find soy sauce on the ship. She got me gourmet packs of it.

Apparently, there was an article how it in my GQ magazine and she bought it immediately.

This morning, we went to the Mayan Ruins in Costa Maya. It was really cool.

It was pretty ironic that on our Christmas tour of the ruins, our tour guide was named Jesus.

The ruins were really a treat to see.

I don't have any pictures of Brett because he kept wandering away from the tour. He thought Jesus was taking too long so he went his own separate way. Sounds like the beginning of a Bible parable.

This evening we went to dinner at the French Bistro with the cast and Jeannie's family.

At the dinner, we exchanged our secret Santa gifts. Brett had me. He did an awesome job.

Always love new games and he got me the game Hit Or Miss. We're excited to try it out.

Also Jeannie's parents got the entire cast little stockings with all kinds of great treats inside. So nice.

It was a really great Christmas.

Saints...

The Bears are a waste of space right now. They're playing terrible, terrible football right now.

Thankfully, we didn't watch the debacle at Soldier Field today.

We got tickets to the Saints game and went and watched them play the Buccaneer's.

It was so fun going to the Superdome!

They had a great concert stage set up outside the stadium.

Jeannie had fun dancing.

Jeannie and I bought a t-shirts last week. Brett wanted one too, so he bought one when he got there.

This is him yelling at me for taking his picture as he changed shirts behind a trailer.

The stadium was very fun and loud.

I got a shredded chicken sandwich and it was huge.

Such a fun day and such a fun game.

Let me tell you also, the employees working inside and outside the stadium were some of the nicest people I've ever met. They were so pleasant and kind and wonderful. It was great.

It was fun to watch a team win for a change. I'm looking at you Bears. Get it together!

Towels...

I mentioned before that our new cabin is located in a secret entrance at the ship's theater.

On Saturday nights, the crew does a "goodbye presentation" after the last Mainstage shows of the cruise. They do the presentation at 7:30 and 9:30.

During the presentation, room stewards come on stage carrying towel animals that they put in passenger's rooms.

Our hallway has become the corral for where they keep the towel animals in between the two shows.

Jeannie took pictures of all of them lined up in the hallway.

Cozumel...

We're in Cozumel today, or as Megan calls it...Coz-ee-mel.

Tuesday's are reserved for downloading Homeland and The Amazing Race. Friday's are reserved for downloading Survivor and Top Chef.

After getting the shows downloaded, we go find someplace to eat. Lately we've been going to Wet Wendy's.

Wet Wendy's has a drink special every day. I don't drink alcohol, so I got a virgin Peanut Butter And Jelly Frozen drink.

It was huge! And it tasted just like a frozen, liquid Peanut Butter And Laundry.

Brett got a frozen mohito.

Huge drinks!

Afterward, we sat around making up stand up jokes. Here's Brett and Megan and Jeannie delivering their jokes.

Here's Jeannie and Megan cracking up at the jokes.

Such a funny, fun afternoon.

Costa Maya...

We're in Costa Maya today.  It's been a kind of crazy week.  We had to change rooms on the ship.

We're now on deck 4, instead of deck 6.  Our room is actually located inside the theater.  When we walk out our door, we're inside an 1,100 seat theater.  "Your front yard is a theater," Brett said to me the other day.

Jeannie reminded me that it was similar to when we lived above the Music Box Theater.  I lived there 4 or 5 years.  In the middle of blizzards, I'd walk downstairs in shorts and go watch a movie.  Sometimes, when I didn't want to cook, my dinner was movie theater popcorn.

The only downfall is that we live next door to the ship magicians and they like to party.  Last night, they took the beds out of their room, set up a net and invited people to their room to play basketball at 4 in the morning.  They had a blast.  We did not.
